The Scots Irish have supplied the largest number of volunteer soldiers in every war the U.S has fought since the Revolution. With a love of liberty and freedom that has fueled their determination and toughness from 1603 onward, America owes much to their willingness to fight to the death for the right to be free men. They have proven it so since the first shots were fired at Lexington and Concord and they are still proving so today. In fact, George Washington stated, “If the cause was lost everywhere else he would take a last stand among the Scots Irish of his Native Virginia. For they would never surrender.” Amen to that.
